NOTES and TIPS:
Habanero is super hot. Start out with a lesser amount of chili and build up to the level of hot that's just right for you, your family, and your friends.. |

STEP #1
Use habaneros that are beginning to turn yellow because this is hot, hot salsa. Onion, limes, and salt round out the ingredients. |

STEP #2
Dice the habaneros (try to find the ones that are turning from green to yellow). Be careful not to get the chili juice on your fingers. It stings. And be sure to keep it out of your eyes. |

Slice the onion. |

STEP #4
Squeeze the juice of the limes into the mix. |

STEP #5
Add salt. For the quantities shown, it's a little more than half a tablespoon. |

STEP #6
Mix well. Break the slices of onions into individual ribbons of onion. |

STEP #7
And it's ready to serve. Depending on how much chili you used, it's either Hot, Hotter, or Fire! |
